I enlisted! Sent letters to all three SyFy execs!

  2. Starr says:

I sent a constructively critical letter to Mr. Howe, Mr. Stern and Mr. Burke. It felt great to have my say and who knows, “even the smallest person can change the course of the future.” So please take the time and buy the stamps. Here’s an interesting fact: Season 2 of M*A*S*H would never have been made if the producer’s wife hadn’t changed his mind during a little pillow talk one night, and that show went on for eleven seasons! Maybe we can ‘pillow-talk’ NBC-Syfy.

  3. Peggy C says:

I really would love to see Caprica play itself out in several seasons. All this canceling, changing dates of airing is just plain BS!! The people at Syfy should know better than to do this to Caprica fans. I will not go down without a fight, Save Caprica!!!!!!

  4. capricatimes says:

I’ve sent letters and will continue to. Syfy messed up but they still have time to fix their mistakes.

  5. JediTray says:

I ENLISTED! Letters sent to all 3. Thanks for the hard work and pointing out the Mail A Letter service! PLEASE Gods, let this work!

  6. byurcommand says:

I enlisted. I’ve sent letters (yes, letters) to Syfy execs, plus NBC, AMC, HBO and the Space Channel in Canada.

  7. Rick Argo says:

I sent out the first of three letters. Its late so I’ll do the other two tomorrow, but this show will not end on my watch

  8. Kimra Simmons says:

Wow! You can tell that the fans of Caprica are an intelligent bunch just by reading the posts – at least on the first page :) I have never seen so much correct grammar, punctuation, and spelling on a comment list before. No, I’m not Miss Perfect, but I do type for a living, so I get paid to be correct. Take it from someone who has to meet a 98% standard, from doctor dictation no less, to tell you that the Caprica fans know their stuff. Listen to them and bring Caprica back by tweeting, Facebooking, and everything else you can think of to bring Caprica back! So say we all.

  9. Kimmy says:

Please save this show it’s very good.

  10. Giovani Saintiny says:

I wrote physical letters to all three execs, last week!

‘Tis noble to enlist in such a good cause.

    So say we all!
    Giovani

  11. Merinda Branche says:

Please bring Caprica back. We need great TV.

Caprica is well acted, well written, visually stunning, multi-layered, constantly foreshadowing Battlestar Gallactica (which is great),imaginative and stimulating.

Why stop now? There is so much more material that could be developed.

We are fans! Don’t let us down.

  12. Jesse Harris says:

This is one of the best series I have ever watched, it was entertaining, creative, and intelligent. This show is exactly what it was supposed to be and just started to heat up. Why should the show stop now, there are many fans of the show!

    Another bad decision!

  13. Tim W says:

    To whom it may concern,

I am writing to inform you that the Syfy network – under your direction – has made a mistake by cancelling the science fiction drama titled “Caprica”. I find it unfortunate that the Syfy brand is no longer associating itself with intelligent, thought provoking science fiction, and instead is sinking to the depths of lesser channels by airing garish and boring drivel.

I honestly believe that your network, brand and identity is being crippled by poor decisions at the highest level, accompanied by indecisiveness and a growing divide between the management and the viewer base. The creative teams at Syfy have repeatedly shown that they are among the best in the business. Please don’t undermine their efforts by diluting their work with reality shows and other such nonsense.

I would like you to reconsider the decision made to cancel the only interesting and relevant science fiction left on your network. I request this because i am a fan of your network and i am passionate about the effort fans are making to revive the only show worth watching on television.

    Save Caprica.

    Yours Faithfully,
Tim – a long time fan of your science fiction network and it’s original shows.

Sent to all three via mailaletter.com (because i live in the UK). Hopefully they’ll read it.

  14. John says:

Shame on the writers of Caprica! Amazing actors, a rich universe of stories, and a ready-built fan base…and they massively screwed it up with incomprehensible themes and TOO MANY random characters, plots, sub-plots, and peripheral tales. It seems that just as a really compelling idea was blossoming, the ADHD writers would abandon itin favor of yet a different, disconnected idea that then would be developed 30% like the first one before being summarily dropped in favor of yet the next rabbit to chase. Meanwhile, none of the stories that MATTER are actually moving forward in any discernible manner. Was there any meaning and relevance to the battle of the dead girls in New Cap City? What about that grandma that watches her son’s back….what became of that sub-plot? Oh and by the way, what is the military doing with those cylons…you know, the ones we want to see that you haven’t let us see in 5 episodes? What is the deal with the geek romance between the lab assistant and Daniel’s dead daughter? Do we care if the parents get divorced–does it have consequences for humanity? Why is there so much animosity between the polytheists and the monotheists? What about the police investigation? What is the effect of Adama becoming a mobster? So many questions….not tied together to form any cohesive fabric. If you are trying to do LOST you are simply missing the incredibly rare magic ingredient–and executive sponsorship–that such a high risk maneuver takes to make it past the first season. How do all these things ever come together to form a direction?!? Which of these characters am I supposed to identify with, or at least care about?

Let me leave you with a complement however. The moment when Daniel had the toaster rip off his arm and he threw it on the boardroom table — now that was great Sci Fi. It said so much about humanity and the tools (life forms?) we will create. That one moment was one of the few that really was a cogent thought and wonderfully acted.

  15. Bruce Fisher says:

This show needs to be brought back. I am tired of the rare great show and these companies then cut them off due to ab arbitrary rating, much of which had to do with other non related factors. i for one will boycott this channel and its advertisers. I vote with my dollar.

  16. Greg Stamp says:

SyFy is BS. Things seemed to be much better when they were the old SciFi (which had some meaning). Now we have people trying to catch ghosts and wrestling! Or is that wrestling with ghosts?

One would think that if BG was popular, the story that explained the origin of the Cylons would be too.

I think the cancellation of Caprica is the final straw for me. And just knowing NBC had something to do with it…..

  17. Starbucks Jockstrap says:

You geeks gotta be crazy! This show sucked turd!!

  18. pinkSprinkles says:

You got that right! I am crazy!!! Crazy about anything Battlestar Galactica!!! I AM DEVASTATED!!! This is not how the BSG fans should be treated with all the love and admiration we have given the Syfy channel! We want the old SciFi channel back! This show should not be treated like some new pilot that has no following whatsoever. Sure..it was a slow start, but just as it was gaining momentum, you guys pull the plug!? The second season?? Get it together in the boardroom, writers and studio and give the fans what we deserve! I’m with you Greg…this is the last straw! I hereby boycott the new Syfy until justice is served! As of this time… we are at WAR!!! So Say We ALL!!!!!

  19. Teresa Jusino says:

@John – You didn’t watch the last 5 episodes of the season before you typed that, did you. Because everything you mention was answered there. And if it didn’t go any further, it’s because it was stuff that would’ve made sense for a second season, had there been one.

  20. Axtyng says:

    Bring back Caprica, GUYS!

  21. James Reynolds says:

Bring back caprica, Lets give the Cylons some more depth to there hate of man in BSG!!

    BRING IT BACK

    SO SAY WE ALL!

  22. Peter Stone says:

This show was on its way to being a great addition to the BSG family. You can’t cut it now. It was just starting to get real interesting…It will only add to the whole BSG Concept.

    Frak.

  23. Obie says:

Please bring back Caprica SO SAY WE ALL

  24. LaVon Blaylock says:

CYLON ARMY WILL BRING THE RISE AND RETURN OF CAPRICA!!! SO SAY WE ALL!!!
