Friday, September 10th, 2010

Great news Caprica fans – Caprica will be returning earlier than expected! Syfy announced via their Blastr website that Season 1.5 will be aired not in January as previously announced, but October 5th. This gives Syfy a chance to view the ratings of Season 1.5 and compare them with DVD sales of Season 1.0 to decide on whether or not to renew Caprica for a 2nd Season. To entice us further they’ve redone the official Caprica website and released a clip from the next episode of Caprica, Unvanquished:

Caprica’s Fate to be Determined by November

Wednesday, September 1st, 2010

Most of us fans of Caprica have been wondering if it will be renewed for a second Season. For those that have been doing their research and much to our dismay, the date that the actors contracts expired was set at August 15th which came and went with no word of renewal. But all hope is not lost!

Fancast has announced that they’ve spoken to a source close to Caprica and Syfy has been given an extension to decide whether or not to cancel Caprica. They now have until November to make a decision. With a deadline closer to the holidays, they may factor in Caprica Season 1.0 DVD sales. The battle for humanity has a beginning, but the fate of Caprica rests in their hands.
