Final 5 Caprica Episodes Air Next Tuesday on Syfy January 4th 6-11pm EST

The final 5 episodes of Caprica will air next Tuesday, January 4th at 6pm-11pm EST. Now’s the time to make yourself count! Even if you bought the DVD it is important that you do something on January 4th. This may be the last opportunity that Caprica is on television to give it high ratings. High ratings will show Syfy and Universal Cable Productions that Caprica needs to be continued. Here’s what you can do in order of effectiveness:

  • If you’re a Nielsen viewer make sure every TV in your house is tuned to Syfy at that time. Right now, set an alarm on your cell phone or medium of choice so you will remember to watch. One of you counts for 3,132 of us so make sure every person in your household contributes to the ratings for Caprica on January 4th.
  • If you’re not a Nielsen viewer make sure you DVR the entire block from 6-11pm EST. Some people have reported that they are showing up as reruns – they’re not! These are the last  5 episodes. Only Nielsen viewers contribute to the ratings when watching live. You must DVR and then watch the DVR within 24 hours in order to have the greatest impact. Of course you could always hit play, mute the TV and go to sleep if you have work the next morning.
  • If Syfy puts the episodes online – watch them! They keep track of this information.
  • And of course if you have a gift card you need to use, buy Caprica Season 1.5 on DVD.

For those that haven’t seen the last 5 episodes, you’re in for a mindblowingly awesome conclusion to our favorite show. Let’s give the Graystones, the Adamas and all their frakked up neighbors a round of applause on Jan 4th and with some luck we may win an encore!

I’ll definitely be doing all of the above.I own the series on DVD, but I still am not watching the Final Five episodes until the are shown live on Syfy to treat myself. I love this show and I refuse to let it be over. Everything I can do to save it, I’m game for. Should we plan a final #SaveCaprica Tweet-a0thon for that ay or some sort of viral marketing campaign?

It would be pretty expensive, but what about renting a billboard in LA for a short period of time with a white background that has a large, single red apple with an STO symbol carved into it. (Overly ambitious, I know) But if the fans were willing to contribute again)probably not) I thought it would be worth a shot. A lot of people in LA and they would surely be confounded about what it is and it might even make the news. If that’s too vague we could put Save Caprica on the Billboard as well. Again i know this is asking a lot and very ambitious/expensive but its an idea nonetheless and I feel those are few and far between nowadays.

I bought the DVDs and watched the episodes. I do not own a DVR and I’m not part of a Nielsen household, so there’s no point in watching them again on Tuesday.

@Paul: Unless you just wanna join in on the event for fun. If the stupid Nielsen rating are as accurate as they think they are then your viewership would count. Prove that to them.

You might want to clarify that they’re not reruns but *are* showing up as reruns for DVR purposes. Your current wording could be taken as a denial of the silly way Syfy has labelled them.
