Well it’s Friday again and after a two week wait we will tune in for Gravedancing tonight! Along with the excitement of that we have a potpourri of items to build your fervor on.
Want to help a charity and dine with a Caprica star? You’re in luck! The ACLU (American Civil Liberties Union) of Southern California has put up an auction where you can win an evening at dinner with Esai Morales (Joseph Adama). This is your chance to get into the mind of the man playing Bill Adama’s father! The ACLU of SC was founded to defend and secure the rights laid out in the US Constitution and Bill of Rights and to extend them to people who have been excluded from their protection. Bidding ends Tues 2/23 at 3:00pm EST.
If their last interview with Jane Espenson giving insight into the meaning of Sam Adama’s tattoos wasn’t enough, today Chicago Now’s Show Patrol has an interview with the actor who plays Sam Adama himself, Sasha Roiz. Alongside is Alessandra Torresani who plays the rambunctious Zoe Graystone. They talk about tonight’s episode and the ominous plot to come. Beware: Minor spoilers in this short interview.

There’s some new clips throughout the discussion including some new action scenes from New Cap City. For those who felt the pace of the show was too slow it seems like it may be picking up soon:

The second episode of Season 1 of Caprica, Rebirth, airs tonight at 9pm EST/8pm CST.
Details Magazine interviewed Alessandra Torresani in 60 seconds. Though brief, she talks about her thoughts on playing the first Cylon created and why her voice helped her get the role. Tune in to Syfy Channel this Friday at 9pm Est to see Alessandra come to life! Alessandra plays Zoe Graystone in the Syfy series, Caprica.
Alessandra Torresani, who plays Zoe Graystone in the upcoming Caprica television series, was interviewed by Sci Fi Wire recently by telephone from the Battlestar Galactica Auction. She mentions speaking with Jane Espenson (a writer for the show who will become executive producer halfway through Season 1) about fleshing out her character through flashback scenes. Also of topic was learning to mime as a cylon since she will be acting out her robotic counterpart. In discussing how to portray different versions of Zoe, Alessandra says she drew inspiration from identical twins:
“That’s how I kind of [saw] the characters, as Zoe and Zoe-A. They are basically the same person, but they are also completely opposite. That’s how I feel twins are: People look at them and think they are the same, but they always have different personalities.
[Zoe] takes life for granted because she has all of this money, and she can do whatever she wants, so she basically says, ‘F–k you guys, I’m going to do my own thing.’ Then I took Zoe-A, or avatar Zoe, as the sweet child or innocent [version] of what the original Zoe was earlier in her life. She is more naïve, because thinking is brand-new to her, so she’s a brand-new, newborn baby. So her eyes just light up when she sees certain things, but she’s deeply, deeply scared, and she is the innocent of the original Zoe. So the two of them, they make a perfect whole.”
But Alessandra also gives away a spoiler about Zoe’s story:
Just Jared Jr. has some new promotional pictures for Caprica of Avan Jogia (Ben Stark), Alessandra Toressani (Zoe Graystone) and Magda Apanowicz (Lacy Rand) taken by Tyler Shields.
