The first bonus clip at the Discover Caprica official site has been unlocked. In it we see the first meeting of Daniel Graystone and Joseph Adams and a shocking revelation from both of them about their families. (Major spoilers!)
Too much religion. Too little action. Too many plot holes. We already know how it ends. These have been the prevailing criticisms the Caprica pilot has had to withstand before it ever reached viewers. This was to be expected as the core of those interested in Caprica come from being fans of Battlestar Galactica – the story of a space chase of robots vs. humans. Has it escaped these shortcomings or has Ron Moore simply produced more of what devotees have shunned as the worst of BSG?
CapricaDVD.com was recently updated with the new Caprica teaser as well as some new photos. Also added was a link to DiscoverCaprica.com where you can view the new promotional clips, sign up for Caprica alerts, and view a countdown of the time left until Caprica is released.
Scifi Wire has added a new video of interviews with the Caprica cast and creators from the Sci Fi 2009 Upfront. As if the insights given by Ron Moore, David Eike, Esai Morales and Paula Malcomson weren’t a big enough treat, in between we see clips from the Caprica pilot. Looks like the technology will be a very large part of this series.
In this Sci Fi Wire exclusive we see Zoe Graystone’s friend, Lacy (Magda Apanowicz) escorting Daniel Graystone through his first viewing of the V-Club. In the V-Club it seems that any of your wildest fantasies, no matter how hedonistic or dark, can unfold at your whim. Lacy guides Daniel through a tour of the Kill Zone (where you can murder whoever you please), a group sex and drug area, the Fight Room (as Lacy puts it, “You can frakking beat anyone you want!”) and a chamber designated for human sacrafice.
