CineTVBuzz will be attending the Monte Carlo Television Festival (June 6-10) in a round table with Alessandra Torresani. They’ve asked The Caprica Times to ask our readers if they have any questions for the actress that plays Zoe Graystone. At the festival they will ask her and afterwards they will be posting a video of her responses. Following Syfy’s acquisition of Friday Night SmackDown, many have questioned what would happen to the shows that ran on Friday nights. In a recent press release, Dave Howe, Syfy President, said, “With Tuesday night, a proven winner for our original drama series including Warehouse 13, there is bigger opportunity for series such as Stargate Universe, Sanctuary and Caprica to thrive on a night with a significantly larger number of viewers available to watch live.”

No word yet on when Caprica will be returning or if it will be renewed for a second season.

Richard Harmon has been cast as Danny Reyes in the upcoming indie movie, Judas Kiss. Danny is a gay college student who comes to a crossroads in his life where he finally has a chance to escape his past. Richard played Heracles in the V-World who was known as Tad in the real world on Caprica.

Leah Gibson will be playing a romantic lead in another upcoming indie film titled Indie Jonesing. Leah played Emmanuelle, the V-World representation of Joseph Adama’s friend Evelyn on Caprica.

Paula Malcomson will join the third season of Sons of Anarchy for an 8 episode arc. Her character’s name will be Maureen. Paula played Amanda Graystone, Eric Graystone’s troubled wife on Caprica.

Peter, administrator of the German Caprica fansite, Caprica-City.de, and the official fansite for Luciana Carro, LucianaCarro.com, notified the Caprica times that Magda Apanowicz (Lacy Rand) and Luciana Carro (Pryah – Daniel’s Media Advisor) will be appearing at a special Caprica screening during the Toronto Comic Con to answer questions from fans of the show. The screening begins on Friday at 5pm so if you’re in the area get your tickets now!

• This isn’t the last we’ve seen of Caesar (the Graystone’s dog).

• “It doesn’t bother you that you don’t know what she looks like?”

If anyone was concerned that the show was in danger of being cancelled, worry no more! Airlock Alpha has an interview with Mark Stern, Syfy’s EVP of original programming, saying that they will be backing Caprica through and through.

In fact, Caprica’s fame has reached an Earth friend of ours, The New York Times. The article goes into depth about the old car models used on Caprica and how they add ambience to the show. Richard Hudolin, the production designer, mentions that a mixing of old and new technologies was also used on Battlestar Galactica.

These cars have been prominent in the life of Amanda Graystone, first whisking her away to saftey after her announcement at the memorial ceremony and later bringing her in harms way during a ride home from Baxter Sarno’s talk show. The actress who plays Amanda, Paula Malcomson, was recently interviewed by tvstar.com. During the interview she talks about how playing a character on Caprica relates to real life.

If you want to bring Caprica in to your real life you may be in luck! Cast and crew members from Caprica including Ronald D. Moore, David Eick, Paula Malcomson, Polly Walker, Alessandra Torresani, Magda Apanowicz and Sasha Roiz will be appearing at the Paley Center in NYC for a special Caprica Panel on March 17 at 6:30pm. Tickets go on sale to the general public Wednesday.
