If anyone was concerned that the show was in danger of being cancelled, worry no more! Airlock Alpha has an interview with Mark Stern, Syfy’s EVP of original programming, saying that they will be backing Caprica through and through.
In fact, Caprica’s fame has reached an Earth friend of ours, The New York Times. The article goes into depth about the old car models used on Caprica and how they add ambience to the show. Richard Hudolin, the production designer, mentions that a mixing of old and new technologies was also used on Battlestar Galactica.
These cars have been prominent in the life of Amanda Graystone, first whisking her away to saftey after her announcement at the memorial ceremony and later bringing her in harms way during a ride home from Baxter Sarno’s talk show. The actress who plays Amanda, Paula Malcomson, was recently interviewed by tvstar.com. During the interview she talks about how playing a character on Caprica relates to real life.
If you want to bring Caprica in to your real life you may be in luck! Cast and crew members from Caprica including Ronald D. Moore, David Eick, Paula Malcomson, Polly Walker, Alessandra Torresani, Magda Apanowicz and Sasha Roiz will be appearing at the Paley Center in NYC for a special Caprica Panel on March 17 at 6:30pm. Tickets go on sale to the general public Wednesday.
Be sure to tune in next week for the revival of Tamara Adama played by Genevieve Buechner!

Who else think this season is the one for the Caprica Buccaneers to make a comeback? On the heels of Amanda Graystone’s confession that her daughter is a terrorist, The Caprican reported that some Buccaneers players wanted to leave the team. But judging from this promotional ad they’re still in the game and ready to take back the Pyramid title!
The Caprica Times has added a ringtones section at the top of the page. Now you can immerse yourself further in the world of Caprica. It may be that the next call you receive is from a cylon named Zoe so be prepared and download these exclusive, free ringtones.
Mo Ryan of the Chicago Tribune has listed a number of items on ebay in order to raise funds for Partners in Health who are currently providing relief for the people of Haiti. Currently there are some exclusive Battlestar Galactica items ending today and Mo has told me that she will be adding Caprica items for auction soon. Don’t miss the opportunity to win some excellent memorabilia and support a great cause!
