Chicago Now explains Sam Adama’s tattoos in their interview with writer Jane Espenson. Every tattoo is explained as they go into great detail as to what all of the markings mean and how they relate to Sam’s personal life. It’s clear that Sam has a rich past that drive his motivations. After Elton Sasha Roiz and After Ellen Jane Espenson Interviews

After Elton interviewed Sasha Roiz about portraying a gay character in the sci fi genre. He also talks about being in the Halatha and how he draws from personal experience to play Sam Adama. After Ellen also interviewed Jane Espenson about writing a gay character for sci fi. Both interviews contain a plot spoiler for tonight’s episode, Reins of a Waterfall.

Caprica Video Blogs and Jane Espenson Interview

Sci Fi Wire has released two video blogs about Caprica (spoilers in the clips that they show) with interviews from the cast and crew:

In addition, the AMC TV blog interviewed Jane Espenson (who will become executive producer halfway through Season 1). She talks about the direction Caprica will take in its first Season and discusses the racism seen in Caprican life. Of the monotheistic belief of the cylons from BSG she says:

We learn why it is, and we learn that it might not have come from a place of love and peace. I think the exploration of the origins of monotheism is fascinating and it’s one of my favorite themes in the show.
